My father owned trucks like Steve's Pizza and Ice Cream for years before he started his Mister Softee franchise in 1979. So you can say I've been around ice cream trucks all my life. We had as many as 12 trucks parked behind our home in the yard while I was growing up, needless to say my friends Liked coming over to my house. When I was 16 I started driving one for my father until I saved enough to buy a Good Humor truck. I ran my truck for a couple more years while also driving for my dad. In 1995, I sold the Good Humor truck and bought my first Mister Softee truck. My route was Cecil County, MD and Newark and Bear, DE. In 2004 I bought a second and started the Middletown and Bear, DE. route. In 2011 I replaced my 1995 truck with a Brand New Mister Softee truck. Currently we have the 2 trucks which run Middletown, Bear, Newark, DE. and Cecil County, MD. If your event isn't in this territory, don't worry we will come to you!

History of Mister Softee
Mister Softee Inc. was founded by two brothers, William and James Conway, in 1956. On St. Patricks day of that year, Bill and Jim took their first truck and gave out green colored ice cream in the neighborhoods of West Philadelphia.By 1958 the company had outgrown the building in Philadelphia and moved to the current location in Runnemede, NJ. It is at this location that Mister Softee transforms plain trucks into Americas' most recognizable mobile ice cream vendor.
